The songwriting team of Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen produced classic standards like Come Dance with Me, Only the Lonely, Love and Marriage, and My Kind of Town. Cahn was nominated an impressive 26 times for Academy Awards for his music, and Van Heusen penned countless standards including the popular Broadway favorites Darn That Dream and Here’s That Rainy Day. Many compositions they collaborated on wound up being title songs for Frank Sinatra albums of the late 1950’s, Come Fly with Me being among the most famous. The pair were considered by many to almost be Frank’s personal songwriters. Additionally, they contributed songs to countless films of the 50’s and 60’s, including the original Ocean’s Eleven. Together, they won three Academy Awards for Best Song and were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Original Score in 1964.
Kevin Keller is a noted arranger of men’s and women’s music. His arrangements are regularly sung by top quartets and choruses and this particular arrangement was made popular by the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2008 International Quartet Contest Champion OC Times. Kevin is certified Music judge and currently serves as the chairman of the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Contest and Judging Committee. Additionally, Kevin is a talented coach, traveling the world as a clinician.
