Joshua is current MD and Founder of the multi award winning ladies choir 'The Decibelles' which is based in Kettering. He has also founded many other choirs and led them to Multi Award winning status and is also current Musical Director of The Wollaston Singers, Wollaston.
Joshua was thrust into the music world at a very young age, with two very supportive parents who ensured that his skill and gift did not go to waste. Winning local eisteddfods and contests his treble voice was one that was well known in the area. He then studied music at Brooke Weston Academy and Bishop Stopford School and then went on to receive a Diploma in Music Performance and has since put his academic knowledge to the test.
Having led many choirs to award winning status over the years there seems to be no signs of this easing up. Joshua is often invited as guest Musical Director to many choirs in the area to help put finishing touches to contest pieces and or to fill in for Musical Directors in their absence, Joshua has also had the pleasure of adjudicating and from time to time being invited as guest Judge to local contests.
Joshua has been awarded for his contributions to Music on more than one occasion, whilst studying music at Brooke Weston Academy he was awarded the Prize Giving Award Consecutively for 3 years for his contributions to music within the academy.
Joshua has also worked closely with The Mayor of Borough of Kettering Office and was proudly presented a plaque in acknowledgement to his efforts in raising over £10,000 during their time in office in 2019.
Joshua is also founder and President of the North Northamptonshire Music Festival which has replaced the Kettering and District Eisteddfod.
Joshua is foremost known for his singing. Singing at some prestigious venues such as Westminster Abbey, Ely Cathedral, St Paul's Cathedral, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, Coventry Cathedral, Peterborough Cathedral, Actors Church in Covent Garden & Covent Garden to name but a few.
Joshua also deps for many well known places with his most recent fill in for The Kings Voices at Kings College Chapel, Cambridge.
Singing tenor and countertenor, he is very much in demand for his ability to sing both parts with conviction, purity and absolute accuracy and is often approached and invited as Guest Performer for events and Choral Days.
